Children enjoy almost any type of educational puzzle because of their inquisitve minds and the joy of self accomplishment and pride when they solve the puzzle in the end. There have been many studies on the advantages of chess to get young minds thinking in different dimensions. An educational puzzle prepares our brains to think outside the box. Very young children also gain dexterity using their little fingers to get the big puzzle pieces in place. As children get older through adult age, educational puzzle pieces get smaller making them even more challenging. (Or maybe it is just so the puzzle will fit on the table!) Needless to say toddlers through adult will enjoy an educational puzzle which is why we see so many crosswords, Sudoku, Rubics Cube, the Knot and many more.

The 25 inch diameter circle wildlife Usborne puzzle features wild animals from our educational World Wildlife series. This is one of my children's favorite puzzles and they do it again and again. It is not just the circle design they enjoy but the bright animals. And they can do it together! One can work on the bird while another works on an animal. There is no arguing when working this Usborne puzzle. (Not to mention, this is great for a little "Mommy quiet time" or "Mommy needs to fix dinner" time.) We also always come back to get this as a birthday gift when my children have birthday parties (Grades 2 through 7th) because the price is so affordable and we know we are giving a great quailty product.
