Corporations and families are taking advantage of wish lists in numerous ways.
What is a wish list?
A wish list is a list of titles that someone would like to receive. Once created, the wish list is used as a "shopping list" for website visitors, organizations, friends, or family. The wish list acts like a gift registry.
-
When friends and family ask, “What would your son like for his birthday,” parents are sending them to their child’s on-line wish list.
- Non-profit organizations such as children’s charities or hospitals are directing donors to wish lists when the donors want to make a tangible donation that will go directly to the children. Schools, libraries and childcare centers are also doing this.
Using the wish list system, you choose from over 1,000 titles for infants through adults and 80% are under $10.
Wish lists can be edited at anytime to add or remove titles or update the shipping address.
Books remain on a list until actually purchased. (Moving a book into a shopping cart does not remove it from the list.)
If you are looking to donate or purchase a gift, wish lists are easily found by searching above. Simply type either the name of the organization or name of the child. If there is more than one match, then the city and state are also displayed to be sure you choose the correct wish list.
All parents and any organization that works with children should have a wish list.
